a brighton based creative collective showcasing emerging artists + designers

smoke+mirrors collective is co ordinated by Alice Jayne Leverton. Alice is a freelance curator who founded smoke+mirrors because she wanted to provide early career creatives with a platform to communicate and sell their work, and stay motivated after education to enter a competitive industry.

The collective is aimed at emerging artists, designers + small brands across all creative mediums. We curate pop up shops, exhibitions, showrooms and live art spaces; both individually and collectively. We also offer creatives support with marketing, branding, project development + other areas of visual communication. The aim is to create opportunities and inspire cross-platform collaboration. Anyone can be a part of smoke+mirrors and benefit from our curation and communication services just give us an email to discuss what we can do for you.

The collective is committed to charity fundraising for Cancer Research UK + Macmillan Cancer Support, joining Brighton's creative community together for a good cause. If you would like to be involved in one of our regular charity events, get in touch.

"The work was contemporary, very good and all incredibly resonably priced meaning sales were inevitable. This really appealed, not just because all the money raised will go straight to two amazing charities, but on a wider level it introduces the concept of owning contemporary art to a youthful audience. Alice ensured that the artists gained exposure, as well as goodwill, with every piece clearly labelled and business cards available."
